Tim Dunn is the co-founder and chief executive officer of CrownQuest Operating, the Midland, Texas oil and gas company he helped launch in 1996 and grow into one of the Permian Basin's most respected independent producers. A chemical engineer by training (Texas Tech University, 1978), he began his career at Exxon and served as a founding general partner and chief financial officer of Parker & Parsley Petroleum before starting CrownQuest and, later, its partnership CrownRock, which Occidental Petroleum acquired in a landmark transaction that closed in 2024. Alongside his business career, Dunn teaches and writes on servant and character-driven leadership through The Crossroad and his Yellow Balloons devotionals, work grounded in the conviction that durable leadership begins with transformed character and faithful stewardship.

Dave Kuhnert is an author, servant-leadership trainer, and Director of The Crossroad, an organization that exists to equip leaders, empower organizations, and redefine what it means to be a person of influence. He came to this work after 23 years in the U.S. Army, where he served in leadership roles ranging from team leader to command sergeant major, and he now serves as production manager for CrownQuest Operating in Midland, Texas. Drawing on both his military and business experience, he wrote "Servant Leadership" (Grace Theology Press), a practical guide that pairs the principles of transformational living with concrete, everyday tools for leading well. His teaching emphasizes purpose, self-awareness, and daily intention as the foundation of durable, people-centered leadership.

Michael Steiner, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President of Advancement and Innovation, Southeastern University

Michael Steiner, Ph.D., serves as Senior Vice President of Advancement and Innovation at Southeastern University, where he has held a range of leadership roles since 2015, most recently as Vice President for Innovation and Chief of Staff. In his current role he leads the university's fundraising and advancement work, oversees SEU Fire Athletics, coordinates presidential priorities across the SEU Network, and develops new funding models to support institutional growth; over the past four years he has secured more than $9 million in grant funding, including major awards tied to the Kern Family Foundation, the Lilly Foundation, and the State of Florida. He holds a Ph.D. in business psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and an MBA, and teaches in the Jannetides College of Business, Communication, and Leadership, joining mission-driven leadership with data-informed decision-making.

Joshua D. Henson, Ph.D.

Dean, Jannetides College of Business, Communication, and Leadership

Joshua D. Henson, Ph.D., serves as Dean of the Jannetides College of Business, Communication, and Leadership at Southeastern University, where he also directs the MBA program, chairs Graduate Studies, and holds the rank of Professor of Leadership. A widely published scholar of servant and biblical leadership, he has written and edited work examining how the life and teachings of Jesus inform modern organizational theory, including studies of how servant leaders navigate conflict and how leaders build character, communication, and trust. He regularly chairs doctoral dissertations and has helped shape SEU's graduate leadership programs, including the Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership and the Doctor of Strategic Leadership. His teaching pairs rigorous leadership scholarship with a practical, faith-rooted view of how leaders serve the people and organizations entrusted to them.
